Layering Perfume So It Lasts Past Lunch

Moisturise first, spray on pulse points, and stop rubbing your wrists together.

Fragrance disappears fastest on dry skin, which is the whole reason it seems to last longer on some people.

  • Apply on damp, moisturised skin straight after a shower.
  • Pulse points — wrists, neck, behind the ears, inside the elbows.
  • Do not rub. It crushes the top notes and shortens the whole thing.
  • Layer an unscented body oil underneath for a heavier scent in winter.

Attars last longer than sprays because they are oil-based and have no alcohol to evaporate. One dab is usually enough.
